I'm biased, but classic pickups don't get enough love from you brown manual diesel wagon-loving weirdos. Hopefully the spring will bring many restoration updates concerning my own 1972 shortbed Chevy with four-wheel-drive and four-speed. #humblebrag

I think it's partly due to wear I live. If I see one of these, it's usually driven by either an unaware geriatric or a guy who really should've been an extra in 'Deliverance'. Leaves a bad taste in one's mouth.

4wd in '72? I'm impressed.

I like classic trucks. When I was younger my old man had that truck in longbed format with the 454. It was a total beast. It was out-towing trucks that were 30 years newer than it.
Hopefully you're upgrading your brakes though. Ours had 4 wheel drums. I locked them up a couples times and I wasn't even exceeding the speed limit. Stale green lights were a nightmare in that beast!

Would you mine humblebragexplaining more about this Chevy? I kinda like this generation of truck, but don't know too much about them.
(Personal note: I like '63 to '72 Fords, especially those with the 300 inline 6 and dream of owning one some day.)

It depends on what you mean by classic.
My aero front 95 Ford could be considered classic, now that they had the Jellybean F150 and then hosed all the proportions.
It does have a Windsor though (351W for the curious)

I love classic trucks. Probably more than I do classic cars. Maybe it's my red-neckedness

Oh I am insulted. I love my manual wagon but I would kill for a late 60's or early to mid 70's F250 Crew Cab.
My five year plan is to acquire one for a project.

Absolutely! I am taking my brother to look at a 67' he's in love with sometime this week. Probably by December he'll be rolling in a Ford pickup from between 65 and 79.
